Designer

Family lore has it that I began designing clothes for my dolls when I was a toddler. As a mom, I was unable to resist the urge to doll up my own children. When friends began to ask me to make clothing for their kids, and showed a few of my designs to some local boutiques, a business was spontaneously born. Over 4 years, my cottage clothing company rapidly grew to become an internationally produced clothing collection, shipping to over 250 stores in the US and abroad. My designs, and the story of my company, have been featured in Vogue Bambini and Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine and have been written about on dozens of websites.

Past

Little Lubbaloo. As owner/designer of Little Lubbaloo, my proudest moment was seeing my collection on the New York runways and photographed in Vogue Bambini editorials. My whimsical hand stamped, hand painted clothing collections were popular with children and adults alike, and a true labor of love. Each season I’ve attempted to tell a story with my collections, about a magical undersea garden, a twilight dance with Daddy or the adventures of a crazy birdie… Additional Little Lubbaloo collections included the Funday Best collection of birthday party and special day wear, infant layette & t-shirt collections, Rumblefox for boys clothing and Francie Pants shorts.

Present

Francie Pants - I am currently focusing my design efforts on the immensely popular Francie Pants line. Together with my business partner we have launched this spin off of Little Lubbaloo as a unique company. Francie Pants tell the story of a dynamic childhood, where little girls are encouraged to pursue their dreams with personality and flair, and to have no fear of playground taunts. They are a perfect excuse for girls, young and old, to kick up their heels and turn a cartwheel. My own two spirited daughters have been the inspiration for this collection from the start.
